hi Ben, those squids look great. I notice where you go, you catch alot of calamari, where i go i catch mostly arrow squid. Today i caught 3, same with yesterday, and i catch mine at night, i notice also your catching yours in the day. I jig sometimes with the rod facing down, and sometimes to the side, i find the side better, but i am having the same problem you are having with the stiffness of the gladiator rod, sometimes when there are small ones, i can hardly feel them, i had a fiberglass ugly stick before, it felt great when the squid where hooked on. I guess i have to get use to this graphite feel. I saw a calamari today, it wasnt going for my jig, it was on the surface with its tentacles spread out and high, like a dance, it was not attracted to the jig at all, have you ever seen this type of behaviour before?



also i want to ask you, do you eat the small calamari, or are you using them for bait?
