Hi to all!
My experience is very short. I tried to fish squids (and actually caught one!) during my summer vacation in Tinos island, Cyclades. My girlfriend, at her first attempt caught 5 squids in about 2 hours (talking about beginner's luck... <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='
' /> ). No need to say that all the locals who were fishing with us, took off after the third squid of my sweetheart... <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':lol' />
The fishing took place at a pier, in the evening (21:00-23:00). No rods were used, only a fishing line (PETONIA'). The locals told us that the season for squids in Tinos is from late August till Christmas, with better chances in October and November.
