Haargh! Ahoy me hearty. A fine catch indeed from the brine in such a short time...Well done.
Went to Philip Island for the weekend.
Fished the Cowes jetty for 4 hours on Friday, but was thwarted by a seal and only one salmon was caught on the whole jetty.
Fished the surf at Cape Woolamai on Saturday for 3 hours (so were 50 others) only saw two little salmon caught.
Finally thought I would wash off my sorrows in the brine with a little flounder session with the wife, to familiarise her (she insisted on using a large landing net, NOT a hand spear) near the Cowes jetty and was surprised to find a few garfish. Nailed two with the spear and she surprised me by landing one in the net!
Again the same seal harrassed us, even in 1 metre of water! Scared the wife good it did. Haaargh

Fresh air, tight lines, scales, slime and fins, 'tis the salty sea dog life for me. Arrrgh!
