let me rephrase my earlier comment. I haven't seen any squid since it started raining More frequently and the water turned muddier. this could be a factor.
Also, my total effort since December has been significantly decreased and i haven't really hit very many good tides and the current flows have been stronger
than i expect when i do make it out. A lazy current or none at all seems to be best and i haven't had the chance to pin point those conditions in a while.
it is altogether possible that there are still squid at kingston; there is a ton of bait fish around the dock at night. i just haven't been in the right place at the right time
to rule out squid still being around. i have heard reports of squid in the port orchard area, perhaps the ones we had in Kingston earlier continued south.
