Sweet link! My brother actually took one of my boa rigs last year after I had a HUGE and i mean HUGe doormat snap me off at the boat. He retied it somehow using thicker line than the 20 or 25lb leader they used to come with and even made the locking string piece too. He couldn't figure out how he did it so hopefully that link you posted will show me. Nothing beats losing 10lb plus fluke b/c they bit through your leader <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> That fluke was caught on a HUGE whole squid i caught off the bridge last yr.
I'm still looking for my 1st 10+ pounder. Had an 8 last year. What is nice about the site is that the knots are animated so you can see exactly what you are supposed to do. Then follow the step by step instructions.
Here is the link for the sliding snood. A little trick I learned to help prevent slippage is tie the sliding hook with the waxed rigging floss (about 15 wraps and the hook won't slide down toward the bottom hook. I never could figure out the string piece on the boa rig. Also try putting a shiner or Killie on the hook that goes through the head of the whole squid with that double rig. It drives those fluke nuts!
