I will be making my first excursion this weekend coming up, have a nasty flu kept me home last weekend but it should clear up in time.
While I was preparing my tackle, I was wondering about how you sharpies set up your rigs. How many jigs do you fish at a time and how far apart do you tie your dropper loops. I was trying to tie dropper loops and just can't seem to get a handle on it. It's fustrating!!!
Here's one thing I found out quickly when I started squidfishing: Make sure you tie your loops far enough apart so the jigs can't reach each other. If they are too close, and an upper jig goes down while a lower jig is going up, they can get hooked together. No big deal to untangle, but sometimes you don't notice right away, and while its down there, nothing is going to bite at two vertical fish attached together.
Hope you're feeling better. Happy Squidding!
