I'm thinking of coming up with the boat on Saturday. Probably around 5 and then into the night. Sleep in vehicle at some point Saturday night/Sunday morning and then head back out Sunday to try some daytime squidding! Maybe try for some blackfish too. Maybe even some fluke. If the squid are close the fluke probably aren't too far behind. I see fluke is open year round! Is that true?
I'm not sure about the legality of fluking right now. I know they said there's no closed season this year but I would check w/ the DEM first. Honestly I wouldn't even bother b/c they're not going to be there yet. They are just now starting to show up several hours off shore and likely won't be near newport til the water hits 57-60degrees. If you did happen to get lucky and catch one, chances are it'll be a shorty....especially now that they raised the regs AGAIN <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':wub' /> I did see that the water temp in newport topped 50
