They look great, but I'm fairly new to squidfishing, so I didn't want to pay that much for a couple jigs unless I knew they were good.

That's around how much I pay for them. I let you know if these works, from what I am reading it works great during day time, I am not sure about night time though. In a few weeks we will know for sure.

This past Sunday i spent 3 hours at the Fishing show. And today posted 5 times on this forum. Man....26 bucks a jig is pricey! I was pissed last year when I snagged bottom and lost 3 yo-zuris. I am rigging different this year to compensate, instead of rigging a main with dropper loops, I plan on stepping down in tensile strength after each jig, with my last dropper to my lead at 1/2 strength of my main line. I figure that will save me as many jigs as possible if snagged on anyhting. Might be a bit too complex, but if I had a 3 jig setup at 26 each, something to consider...

Travis, it's an addiction man. Nowaday, it's cheaper to go and buy than to fish for it. The jigs that I just bought I won't fish bottom. Most often I bottom with Ultra Lense with 1/2 oz up to 2 oz weight depend on the current. Last year, I lost 4 jigs in one night... that wasn't fun at all.

I understand the addiction, I am a striper and tuna fisherman...with fuel costs the way they are, you have to be an addict to run a boat, let alone and pay for the gear! I only started squid fishing last year and it was awesome, and my wife loved it too. Squidding is very entertaining!

Eat some save some for striper during September. One rod I tie 2 jigs with weight, other rod I used one jig (2.5oz jig to 3.5 oz jig) without weight. Everytime I go there I end up fishing off to the side in the cove, I have never even fished on the bridge yet, I'll have to give it a shot if the crowd isn't too crazy. Great info about them hitting on top! I met a few guys from this site down there last year, they were EXTREMELY helpful and curteous. I enjoy learning this fishery as it is completely new to me. As far as fly fishing, that is pretty much all I do. I fish light tackle spinning gear and flyrod for stripers and tuna. Or the other side of the bridge near the hotel at night time is good, lots of light over that side. I'm going to hunt for some this year.. I often fish at the cove after working hours stay there until 11pm to 1am depend on the bites. Its more enjoyable that way and you can talk with lots of people in this forum while you there. I am always happy to teach people how to flyfish. I am only 27, but I have been flyfishing for 21 yrs now. My father is a FFA certified instructor, an unbelieveable fly fisherman. He runs a light tackle charter business. I don't want to post anything here about it as I feel it is rude to plug him as he is not a site sponsor, but if you ever want to charter him I can give you his web site and contact info, send a PM.
