im no expert in garfishing but the way i do it is...
[Rigging] 1) tie a tiny hook onto some line. 2) clamp a small split shot on the line close to the hook. (note: u can use a small running ball sinker from the hook to the next split shot if there is a bit of a breeze) 3) put ur float (i use a bob float ) anywhere from 5cm-50cm above the hook. 4) balance the line between ur hook and float out with split shots every 5cm or so. this method works for me usually but is not much use if the weather is too windy, or there is a strong current. [Baits] -maggots are probably best (you can sometimes purchase them from aquariums but usually u'll need to breed them. - small fish strips work aswell. - sandworms do work, i have never tried them myself but i have seen them used. [Berley] heres the berley mixture i use. - a few pieces of fresh white bread - a fair amount of tuna oil - hot water (not boiling, hot water is not neccesary, but i found it breaks the mixture down. you can also use cold water.) - fish pieces, any old bait you have that is not usable any more for bait can be used. mix all the ingredients up until they are combined. ( blending works well) you can use a ladle, and apply a scoop evry 10mins or so. (note: you can also add flour to get it to your desired thickness.) i hope this helps, this is my method and i have not just copied it from somewhere, i perfected it myself, and im still perfecting it. hope this helps, pj <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':au:' />
