Dear Squidfish Community,
I'm new here and hoping to establish some leads for old squid fishing nets that I can upcycle into an art installation. In the past I've sourced old nets from dumpsters but a lot of those have been taken away due to Covid. I'm hoping that someone on here will have a lead for where I can source s good amount of net (~200' by 200') in the next two weeks. The nets can be old and tattered as I can patchwork the pieces together and only use the nets for my armatures (the net is not visible in the final artwork). If you're curious to what I'm building, you can check out my Rainbow Cave on my website: basiagoszczynska.com or on instagram @basia_gosz I'm located in New York but can travel up as far as Maine (I have family in Boston and Portland) or south down to New Jersey to pick up the net with my truck.
