Early 2017 Run With Warm NE Winter?
#1
Hey all,

Usually a lurker on this forum, but was just thinking...with the warm winter we've had this year....anyone anticipating an earlier than normal squid run in the northeast? Could they come by March?

Maybe. The river herring seem to be moving in a bit early, so the squid might as well. The water is 40 degrees but I'm not standing out there in 35 degree air looking for the small pods of squid that might push in early. :lol

Lol yeah me neither. Just thinking about the upcoming month and if it'll end up happening way earlier than expected with these 50-70 degree days we've been having.

Well, looks like that warmth has gone. Expecting an April run, as per usual.
