Thanks for the update.  Gonna head there Thursday Night.
Anyone been to redondo or dash point yet?
Where is Shilshole?

Thanks.

got 3 lbs in 3 hours down at edmonds.  it was actually medium and big size squid this time instead of the babies I caught last week.  but still took probably 50 squid to make up 3 lbs.

Edmonds was empty tonight, everyone scared of a little rain?

Got 7 pounds from Shilshole last night!
Finally found site Smile. Hello to squidman1 and Liam we met at Edmonds Pier on Nov. 8th nice to meet you guys Smile. Last night at Shileshole got 4 lbs.. On Saturday night over Port Orchard at Annapolis ferry dock my good buddy and I got 6 lbs. squid were medium size but none stop action for like a good hour.
I am going to Shilshole again today at 5pm in the rain. See you squidders out there.
Anybody know if downtown waterfront have squid yet?
Yes! Seattle finally has squid but seals are around! Got 4 pounds in 30 minutes last weekend at 3am. Dang seals!
Thanks for report Squidman1. Hopefully see you downtown soon lol
I'm too lazy to drive to Seattle, will definitely hit the waters for the first time this season at redondo or dash point this weekend. If I get skunked, I'll head to Seattle and wait till Dec. for the other southern spots.
so I have never been down to shilshole I heard there were two docks which one do u go to and do you need a generator and is there a time limit there

Good luck getting a response :p I've asked about 3-4 times and I actually do have a generator and light incase people wanted to fish beside me :p
maybe I will just go to Edmonds tonight its a big tide but atleast its something to do

Most places you need a generator, I would bring one with you if you plan on trying a new place.

I have a bright electric light that uses a deep cycle marine battery. Works better than a generator, cheaper too, and a lot lighter to haul to a pier somewhere haha. Or you could just be a light moocher like everyone else!
oh no im no moocher I have my own generator and lights I just wanted to try a new spot and you gotta love it when people think they can just crowd around ur light I usually just shut it off and they get the point I usually say maybe you should ask next time

I'm been thinking of using a marine battery setup as well. Can I ask what brand /type of light and the brand of marine battery you use?  How many hours does the battery last? Thanks for your help.
Been fishing out at silshole for the last 2 days and have gotten 3lbs each night, Monday was jumbos, tonight was smalls to mediums, slow but good!
Hello all, been reading this forum a while and finally decided to join the crew.

Very new to squid fishing, actually new to fishing itself.

Moved to NW this year and caught 2 trouts and 2 pink salmons so far and I am hooked now. Smile

Probably trying to go out to Silshole tonight and weekend, any suggestion on what time would be good?

(OE Bobby/ thanks for sharing the information)

Any other suggestions would be helpful for a newbie.

Thank you

Ken
