Squiderbruce....can you post a photo of your catch?  How do we know that you are taking a break from a break? And let's not "trash" talking..I am here for reporting.

I know from fishing with Squiderbruce that he can't "take a break" the call of the squid is too much. If he says he caught three dozen squid then thats all I need to know. He will not give false reports. NO PICTURES NEEDED

Algreenjr, I know that you know Squidbruce well and trust him with his words.  It's so easy to take a snap shot of your catch and tell your story.  There has been many false reports about people catching squids out there.  I just figure a picture equals a thousand word and it should be posted as such.  Too bad he doesn't have access to computer but able to post his reports in the forum.  And it's the year 2013.  I just don't know who to believe anymore.  I need proof. Go Bruins!!

There's no need to post if you don't want to. Some people are better than others, so they share information to fellow fishermen & friends. Life is better sharing anyways. Squid run are short, people come down just to catch some squids when there's reports of people catching.

There is signs of squid in the vicinity of GI, I can see them on sonar and fluke and blues are feeding on them.

There was some other people squidding but we are the only one who nailed it.

Would you be willing to share some details? Specifically, what brand/size/color jig were you using? What was your rig setup? Any bait/scent added to the jig?

Well, I've got tons of squid jigs blah blah blah...

So far Coleman none weightened jig works great for me and it seems to be they were bite pink later than green or other color.

I put pink on the bottom than put green or clear on top of it and I do not use any bait nor scent at all.

Funny thing is there was other guys doing exactly same as my set up but they can't catch squid.

Don't know why but I'm must be doing right

You have nothing better to do than ask for photos? If a person were going to shine you, what makes you think they couldn't gram a pic off the net and repost it?


Just take the report at face value and stop looking for something that isn't there.


You don't have to run out and go fishing if you have doubts. But you kind of went over the top with the accusations.

Ever since the great economic recession started in 2008, squid population has gone down significantly at least around RI. Squid Depression.

Make fun of me all you want.  And I am not accusing anyone.  You guys all know how to use computer.  It's sad that you can't take a photo of what you do.  You guys also get really defensive when I ask for one simple thing..a freaky photo.

There were a lot of squid swimming around at Nabraska Shoals last night. I fished from sundown till 2:30 and managed 21 of them, but there were big schools swimming all around. The bite kept getting interrupted by bluefish. The action really picked up at low slack which didn't happen last night until well after midnight. Hopefully the squid will start getting aggressive soon!

Taylor swifts guards are stopping all the squid coming near RI. Just like how they are stopping fishermen and beach people at watch hill.

Was just looking threw my squid logs threw out the years. Squid fishing hasn't been what it used to be the past 3 years. This year we have had the cold spring and delay in spring rain. Year before was the hot dry spring.


Year before that was pretty much like this year. That year was pretty much a very late showing of squid. But threw out that year, you was able to catch a few squids threw out the summer into fall.

Well I guess I should shut my mouth, shouldn't tell any one without uploading picture of squid and I decide to quit posting here.

I will PM for when I have great day for who ever fished with me, other than that, I'm not going to bother who can't trust other member.

I remember last time algreenjr told me at my usual squid fishing spot " dude look what's you've been done!"

Well if you can't trust me, so be it.
