hi there my name is daniel im from carrum downs i fish mainly mornington sorento and most recently hasting pier im a land based fisho i do mainly bait fishing but every time i go i willl give squiding a good crack best ive done in one day is 13 that was off hastings recently ive probly only been out less than 10 times since ive startd and only went one trip without squid (caus i accidently lost one of my jgs to a passing charter boat and the other i accidentaly kicked through the gap) i mainly post my reports on a vic fishing website but ill start posting them on here soo herses pretty much all the squid ive caught





yesterday was at hastings not much hapening during teh day at night lost a big pike due to not properly hooking it with a handline as soon as we packed up a school of 5 big squid swam up the surface and saw past the pier couldnt get any of them caus we were all packed up soo stayed abit endud up with 8 biggest being 18cm it was good caus both of the locals that squid fish there only caught ones about 4cm longg hoods soo i was quite pleased with myslef

and there pretty much my whole squiding life hopfulyl soon we be able to get on a real big one has any one got any spots that hold big squid soon might be giving stony point a try with some baited jigs

when i fish by my self i go by public transport

i haven't had much of a chance to fish for squid lately as i have been trout/redfin fishing at lake karkarook in moorabin but now they have some crazy blue green algae outbreak so time to give the lake a miss and head back to sea.

Looks like you have gone over the vic limit for squid in your 9th pic..

there was 2 of us fishing fir squid so 13 would of been ok
