Just before a calm sunset tonight the rain, clouds and cool weather had knocked the worm hatch way down compared to last night. That's not a bad thing. The gulls and stripers were waiting as they usually do but the worms were few. This increased the odds tremendously. Catching stripers up to 26" on almost every cast for about an hour before sunset. It put winter in the rearview mirror. Bring on the squid! |
