C&R is still being debated, it's all come down to an issue over Commonwealth Waters and Federal Waters, even the powers at be can't seem to give as an answer.
Plenty of talk of it on the Fishing Forums, very long threads, 20 pages plus.
Interesting reading, as it all boils down to a treaty that was signed.
Still even though the ban has come about from decline in Mako numbers in a country 8000 miles from here, i could see that one day this would happen in our waters.
It will just be interesting as to what changes in the Fishing Guidelines are made to enforce it. I.E limited burely or no wire leaders or some such thing.
We can still target Thresher and Blues, so i find it hard to see how a Mako isn't going to jump on the same gear.
Point will be, do we have to cut it free on first I.D. or can we do it boat side (and get our gear back)
