I find it too hard to get good quality jigs so once every few years when I go back to japan for a holiday, doug has the best varity on the coast.

A selection I bought back last year.

fish, I went to doug burts and got a couple. couldnt find 2.5 yozuris so i got a couple of other brands.

they didnt work out too well. squid refused to bite them.

went home and customised them with tools from the craft store; now the cheapo $5-$10 jigs i got work wonders. even in the afternoon the squid practically lunge for it.

nice selection mikey, are the jigs in Japan cheaper?

I notice u buy quite a few 2.0 and 2.5s no 3.0/3.5s?

Thats true, no 3.0/3.5 and I like Pink, or natural (for day time), the top $$$ on the squid jig would be 900Y or now $13. I was lucky enough to be in japan when the it was 1:100 so most of the jigs in the pic where $6~$7. The selections are huge, where we might have 5 or 6 styles/colours they will have 50~60 styles.

customised? what did you do to them?

colour? shape? weight?

i have often thought of ripping the jags out of some old jigs and fixing them into some bibbed minnows.

well maybe some day.

baptism, mikeyb where are you guys located?

Im in brissy.

Yeah. the squids/salt water often corrode the quality of cloth based jigs.

I went to the craft store for some translucent/glitter acrylic paint and lumo materials. along with other stuff I use to create "legs" for the prawn jigs.

I'll try to post some pictures once I find the time to make a couple more <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

that's the one, the fishing side of things is in the shed at the rear

another good place for your jigs is MO tackle at coffs.

can't fault the service when ordering on-line.

i ordered some jigs at 9:00am one morning, and got them in the post the next day <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Rolleyes' />
