Newport Ri - Identifying Oneself
#1
Hey all.

I have been squid fishing the Goat Island bridge for a few years now. It is a great time and looked forward to all winter.

There are so many wonderful members of this board and others whom all add to the experience. some I know and others, many, I don't or can't recognize all bundled up.

sooooo......

does anyone have any interest or ideas on how to identify oneself as a member of the squidfish.net community with your userID?

I was thinking a sign with squidfish.net and your userID affixed to your cart, cooler or bucket?

I could make up an demo one so that they all looked the same for ease of identification. See the attached MS Word Doc. Just an idea.

thoughts? Comments?

I'd sport a sign on my bucket. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Confusedq:' />

Maybe we could take this a step further and rope of a members only section. I could snacth some velvet ropes from a hotel lobby................ Just joking. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

Just printed out three tags.

As for Tatonka's suggestion; I ussually have so much crap piled around me it's as if the area's been cordoned off. Maybe police tape and some chalk outlines on the sidewalk would help.

lol...That would be hilarious. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Tongue' /> You could say that someone went berserk after a person tangled his/her line.

I usuallyfish from under the Newport bridge but everone is so close that I just yelled out and asked. There were a couple people there from the site but guess there are more on the GI bridge. All sounds god but don't have a bucket.

Glen you are a worldwide legend!

I hope to visit New England in 2010 and would hope to meet "Suzy Squid" and all squidders from NE .

I have lived in the USA and have fond memories of my times there

If any Squid Fishers are visiting Sydney from the USA ,please contact me.

My e-mail is "Kingyfisher @ gmail.com"

I am also known by the same name at "hotmail","yahoo"

I do not charge for info,am not a pro guide,so my time is limited.

The squid we are getting at the moment in Sydney are either very BIG or small

The best jigs are fish imitations like "pilchard" ," Whitebait" &"

tigerprawn"

Pm me at "Kingyfisher" @ hotmail, gmail, yahoo, for more info.
