Hi All...

Just started on squidding, seen few ppl with ease catching them but I still havent caught one yet!!

Can anyone please tell me what sort of gear is needed? Line? reel?etc...

hey mate, any rod suited to 1-3kg , 2-4kg .



Reel anything around the 2000 / 2500 size



8lb flurocarbon line... some people use up to 20lb to avoid snags...



My favourite squid jigs are yamashita egisuittes in 1.8 PINK / GREEN

Daiwa MDs 3.5 in fire red and the gold colour....

make sure there is kelp beds, weed beds around... where are you from?
