Boston newbie - JonFrum - 14-07-2010 It's been years since I've done any fishing, and I just decided to get back to it. I was looking to scout out places to fish nearer than the Canal, so I drove over to Nut Island for the first time yesterday. One guy was fishing light tackle, and when I saw him pull a squid from the water, a light went off. Hey, I love squid. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> So I went back today with a rod and my new squid jig. There were five or six guys there, mostly at the end of the pier, and none squidding. I tried both sides of the pier, no hits. But since I know they're in there somewhere, I'll be back until I hook up. I'll probably try Castle Island and UMASS soon, and I'll pass on any intelligence. I did talk to a woman who was looking at the big bumpers around the outside of the pier. She said that they were considering removing them, and asked if that would make more space for fishing. That's interesting. Boston newbie - JonFrum - 24-11-2010 Five hundred and twenty-nine views, and not one comment added.
