hi there guys just a quick question, i'd liked to know how to spike a fish and have you got any pic,s. Is there a degree you have to insert the spike and how far is the temple from the eye your help will be great thanks Big Al

not sure what you mean by "temple"? do you mean the squid hooks?

I assume by spiking, you are trying to instantaneously kill your fish......
I usually insert a knife between the eyes, at the top of the head, otherwise, when we catch carp we have a stick with a sharp point which is punched into the mouth of the fish, which is much better than the knife through the head. Otherwise anotehr method of killing fish is to grab the gills and lift the head backwards, hence snapping the neck, and bleeding the fish to death - also helps with better taste!!
