Effective dates: Aug. 26, 2004 until further notice. Species affected: Squid Location: Marine Areas 1 through 13 Reason for action: Some ocean squid encountered by tuna anglers exceed 10 pounds in weight. The new rule allows anglers to possess a single squid that exceeds 10 pounds or, as before, 10 pounds (or five quarts) of smaller squid in the round.
