Cannibal Squid - Humboldt Squid Behaviour - FISHY - 23-11-2004

CANNINBAL SQUID



1. Humbolt Squid commonly eat injured members of it's own species.

As soon as one of their fellow squid gets hooked or is behaving differant the squoid will attack it and start chompingn away at it.



2. The bigger the squid the more cannibalism it is.



3. FACT 23 per cent of humbolt squid are cannibals, mostly the females because they are so large.
