Just wondering if there are any you can't eat. OR, on the other hand, any that taste icky. Which types are the best?

Oh,yes correct you are Glen <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/crying.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':woot:' /> !In the book "The Search for the Giant Squid" by Richard Ellis.He describes were two marine researchers dined on Architeuthis and found it totally un-palatable with a strong ammonia taste and odor.Later research found that the tissue contains high concentrations of Ammonia.One theory is that the Giant Squid use ammonia as ballast and that cold water temperature and maybe pressure diffuses it in the tissue.It is only lack of proper pressure/temp(warm water) causes the animal to flounder and die.Sorta like Human divers bends in reverse(in the human's case it is nitrogen gas). <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blueboxbullet.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':ink' />
