Whidbey Island, WA - squidbait95 - 04-08-2006 Greetings, I'm new to this forums, and I've read a ton of stuff on here, lots of good info. Anyways, I live on whidbey island and I want to go for squid, but seattle is a bit too far for me to go. Anyone know of any place here on the island or even anacortes that would be good for squid fishing? <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Thanks a bunch, Squidbait85 Whidbey Island, WA - Old Salt - 04-08-2006 Welcome to the Forum, I don't live in your area(resident of the GulfCoast of the Deep South USA).I am sure other forum members are more knowledgeable in specifics to your locality. But,I would like to offer some advice that you may find helpful. When I move to a new location-I check the tackle shops & local fishing clubs for Info. You may find The Fishin' Club Whidbey Island (here is the weblink)maybe helpful with there monthly member meetings. From my experience the vast majority of mainstream americans who catch squid use them for Bait(live Squid works better than frozen or rubber).Keep this in mind when you query for info(ie does the tackle shop have squidjigs etc) .Hope this is helpful and good luck <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blueboxbullet.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> ! |
