Has anyone caught any squid off the wallaroo jetty lately? If so whats the best time of the day to cath them and what kilo line should I use. please respond

I'm not sure what you mean by "squid don't like light line." Squid don't like fishing line at all, and for best results you would be better if the squid doesn't even know the line is there. Hence lighter line is the better option, and it will also be easier for you to feel when a squid has grasped your jig. Only disadvantage is that you may have to cut your line if you get it snagged in the weeds. I usually use about 10 pound line and have never had any problems.

hi nerddog, i think your tackle shop guy was saying you might need heavy line if you are reeling in big heavy squid (so the line does not break). like hefree said, its better if the line is invisible to the squid, and usually thinner line is much harder for squid to see.
