humboldt squid (california) weigh a LOT MORE than 3 kg! <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />



southern calamary (australia) weigh around 2kg when fully grown.



it would be good if you could provide a bit of background to your question.

Japanese big-fin reef squid get over 3kg but I think 1-2 kg ar regular size.
