Nice work.

For the top fish, we have similar fish down here in Australia which we call snapper! <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':beer' />

We have similar fish to the bottom one which we call kingfish!! <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':th' />

Like Glen said, the first one does look like a snapper.

The second one is some type of jack and looks similar to the garrick in South Africa. Garrick doesn't make great eating (I believe most jacks don't), but they are great fighting sportfish!

The third one is similar to a South African yellowtail (called a kingfish down south). An entry on Wikipedia confirms that the common name for Seriola Dumerili is in fact great/greater yellowtail.

Great pics!

Thank's Jaccil!

This three fishes are most here in the middle game fishing. This season was good, most of first (snapper) and second (garrick) are catched. Garrick specially. People here think that is no tasty to eat but i love it, specially head and first quarter cooked in water with wegetables, wine and olive oil.

Croatian names for this fish are:

Snapper - Zubatac

Garrick - Lica

Great yellowtail - Gof

Zex

Hi there...

Nice cathces!!!

The "Campogramma Glaycos" you are talking about seems more like a "Lichia Amia (Leerfish)" to me...

Weve got big leerfish around here in the "delta del Ebro".. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' />

How did you get them? Spinning? Jigging? and with what lure?

Hi Rutger!

You're right, some books call them Lichia Amia. Wiki say Lichia Amia, my program with Adriatic fish database says Campogramma Glaycos. I am confused <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':th' />

I get this one with trolling system and live bait, use needlefish. But popper is good for it too.

Few days ago one member of our (Croatian) forum catch one 30 kg weight !!!

Same system, trolling with needlefish.

Here is picture:

He's nickname is 'Lichia Amia' <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' />

The garrick is also known as leerfish (leervis) and it is indeed the Lichia amia as you can see in the link I posted above.

Great fish!! I am going to South Africa at the end of November for 5 weeks and will spend quite a bit of time hunting these fish with plugs/poppers on light spinning gear.

Hi Jaccil!

A bait I can also recomend for these monsters is the RANGER by Robert Lures

A topwater skip bait.... Fast retrievals...

A lot of attacks.... a lot of missing the lure in the attack too...

Great fun though!!! <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' />

I'll second that. Great lure.

The third one is called an Amberjack. The first is a snapper. I don't know about the second but it's some kind of jack.

Trolling, live needlefish as bait.
