Fishing Competitions? - bluewaterhunter - 29-11-2009 What do you guys think about fishing competitions? Are they ethical? They do promote a lot of catch and release but I am still not 100% convinced these are good for the sport. Many big comp's are held here in Australia. Some are sponsored by toyota, XXX etc and are big events. Glen - would you support a calamari fishing competition here in Vic? It could be run down at Queenscliff, cost 20 bucks and prizes could be awarded for biggest squid. It would be a good way to promote the sport i know. We could get sponsors from like yamashita etc. Any interest???? Blue. Fishing Competitions? - glen - 30-11-2009 Hey blue, the idea has come up before, I am not willing to sponsor an event with dollars....but I am happy to promote anything you might organise!
