Trolling For Squids - Zex - 29-12-2009 I noticed that none of you catch squid with the trolling technique. In Croatia this technique is very popular. Most use the Rapala lures as shown: We use nylon 0.40 and attach the file directly with 'Rapala' knot. Pull it behind a boat about 20 meters and speed is 2.5 - 3 knots. We use 0,26 fluorocarbon(sometimes 0,28 or 0,30) And we use two rapalas instead of one. I don't like it, for me is better only one and when squid is catched i just drive in a circles and catch others.
