yea, i think you've got me. i need to go later in the evening during high tide. guess that just shows how much of a noobie i am hahaha. oh well. learning learning... hopefully knowing this i'll catch my first elusive squid next trip <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />



love the water is beaumaris, for a 40min drive away from the city, seeing the stringrays and schools of fish is a nice change

Yes the stingray is very cool, most arvos big schools of salmon turn up and are great fun, some of the salmon are push 3kg.

im going to brighton tomorow morning as wind and tide is great.

its alot harder to get squid atm compared to last 4 months

went down to try and fish beaumaris pier yesterday. seemed all locked up.

was just confirming that this is the pier that people are talking about (near ray st?)

That's the pier on the picture what make's you think it's locked up.

walk down to the bottom of the steel gates .......on the left hand side there a small gate that is always open if you didnt go far enough then you wouldnt see it

went to beaumaris pier on last sunday, got there about 10 ish till 3 pm, tried squid at frist but nothing then swatched to soft plastics got 6 flatheads range from 33 cm to 45 cm which is my PB
