Got 3 keeper fluke off New London CT. Headed out to Gardners Bay today.

As to a report, there were a ton of schoolies jumping and feeding on sand eels, but they wouldn't hit anything we threw at them that looked remotely close to a sand eel. That said, they hit a couple times on a lure which looked like a squid, which would suggest to me that the squid are finally moving in.


Try any green or olive color needle plugs. Even better if you have a green teaser tied up top

A guy I work with has a friend that is a charter boat captain down the Cape and he states the squid have come and gone already.

Looks like the squid are back at P-Town.  According to the P-Town Harbor Master, people are starting to crowd up the dock and they don't like it.

Squid is pretty much done in RI now. Blues and bass chasing them all around. Go north into MA if you really want some squid. Even Maine is seeing squids near the mouth of their rivers.

I decide to take a break for a while. Because last 4 trip was nightmare.

First, Most of time people cast their rig in front of me when I caught squid.

Second, if you don't have your own light, that's fine with me. You can at least ask me where is my comfort zone is are.

Third, pick up your own trash!!! Some jerk left behind their trash! And I can't stand that!!!

Forth, I've been busy as hell with my job.

I need to rest and I will come back some time mid June Wink

I must admit. I went to GI last night, because one my buddy tempting me to get there.

Any way, we are able to catch 3dozens/person in 3hours.

Also, I do not like to trash talking or lie.

There was some other people squidding but we are the only one who nailed it.

So if you can't trust my posting ignore it :Wink
