Scents To Attract Squid - Nautilusly - 07-12-2006 These scents definitely work! Went squiding yeasterday and there was like 10 people there already. about 10 squids were caught in total, and 6 of them was caught by 2 guys who were constantly spraying stuff on their jigs! I wanna give these spray a go too <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/innocent.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':woot:' /> Now i am looking for a cheaper source of sprays and yo-zuri jigs. Anyone know? Scents To Attract Squid - Nautilusly - 18-01-2007
Yeh it is a muclse and spriands helper but they say theat it smells like wintergreen and the squid like it
Why would squids like the smell of wintergreen? I think people probably used it for its cloth-like texture. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/innocent.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ![]() Scents To Attract Squid - davec84 - 10-04-2007 WATTOSFISHING.COM.AU These guys are located in st marys. they sell the egi max for $18 a can however the catch is that you have to be a member on fishraider.com.au. I'm fishing squids in Greece the last few years... I have a question about the scents to attract squids... Can't we just rub a fish around the jig? Never tried it but I will... I mean after all is cheaper for sure! Thanx,Basilis Scents To Attract Squid - BradS - 30-11-2007 I wonder if something like Smelly Jelly in a Menhaden scent would work. Has anyone tried something like this? Brad Scents To Attract Squid - funna1 - 29-01-2008 im eager to use salmon oil or fish oil on my jig!! ![]() Scents To Attract Squid - kingyfisher - 20-02-2008 If you have raw prawns remove the head & rub the jig with it.Tuna oil also works well, but unfortunately all these things tend to make the jig discolour easily when the squid spray ink on the jig.I have used both the egimax &glowmax scents and sometimes they work and other times they don't. I always start jigging with a clean jig and only add stuff if they won't take the jig.The biggest difference is if you find a rough surfaced jig (cloth like) attracts squid but they then retreat it is because they have touched it with a candle and are suspicious of the "feel".Using a smooth surfaced jig of a similar size will almost always result in a "take" Scents To Attract Squid - stourer - 22-04-2008 Hi, I'm a newbie to squidding and this great site. I've experimented rubbing fishs and prawns and also the egimax scent on the jig,it does not really help me to improve my catchrate but it sure makes my Yamashitas smells "fishy" and slimy. Scent will get washed off in short time though so you have to spray often if you want to maintain the scent. Pricing is much better in Japan recently (~Y700-Y800 = A$8-9?). I'm guessing it's the jig itself that is the main factor here. Guess anyone that visits japan can stock up on these scents and more. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ![]() Scents To Attract Squid - kingyfisher - 24-04-2008 Anyone tried the latest scents by Hayabusa ?
