Hey Squidlet,

Don't forget to go 1-2 hours before a high tide on a dark moon night when the wind is 5-10 knots. Best is when the High tide is around midnight.

Hey, there are some awesome flats around Phillip Island, the main channel edges are great at high tide on a full moon, I use a Hawian Sling and incounter flathead and flounder mostly. I have seen squid, pinkies are bream as well. I suggest you might have ago around there. Also I often go to my favourite spots at lowtide and look for flathead marks in the sand. Just knowing whats in the local area. I saw a mark of a 70cm+ model in the sand and then incountered it on the full moon, ofcourse I didn't spear it. Never speak big mummas like that.

Recently caught a garfish on a TT blade and thought it was really strange because i read that you catch them with tiny hooks and bread so they didn't seem like an aggressive predator.

Just wondering if anyone has had similar things happen to them?

cheers Max.
