Hi Raleigh,

I get to Hervey Bay a fair bit and have seen squid both caught and lurking at Urangan Pier. Usually when the bait fish is schooled up around the pylons. I have never caught any there though. Too busy hauling in other species. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' /> The pier is an excellent land based spot it is almost a kilometer long and sits next to a chanel at the end. You name it and it has probably been caught of that pier.

Try this site http://www.fishntales.com/ it is a local Hervey Bay fishing forum. There is some info on that site on squid that might help. I am pretty sure you need to sign up to get access to the forum topics. Do a search for squid and best of luck.
