hi squidos just wondering what size squid jig works best in your local area
2.0 <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />
i use everything from 1.8 up to 3.5, depending on the depth and current
hi chipy thanks 4 the reply. have u been catching any squid on the gc lately
there's still a few around, the numbers are starting to drop off, but the size is improving
2.2 slow sinking in the shallows and when squid are shy.

2.5 and 3 for everything else.

3.5 in the deep water.

little jigs catch big squid aswell, just depends on your wind and water depth
I use mainly 3.0 but I have jigs of other sizes if I need them.

3.0 is just about the perfect jig.

we have a few breakwalls here that the squid are in about 2foot of water. there is one spot that all the guys fish the dead water and spend hours but only get a few but in the shallows about 20mtrs from them you can bag out in an hour.

i love shallow water stuff, keeping the jig moving and can see the school of squid.

you should see what we have up here in moreton bay , plenty of shallows with scoals of squid and you just sneek in with your leccy motor and just knock the off......dont come much better than that....oh and NO bag limits...I got 30 one session a couple of weeks ago but 20 is normal.
