Newbie here, hey guys

thought this might be a good idea so newbie's like myself, can know where the squid are firing and hopefully get into some.

We can use it as a 'live update' thread

so, where are they firing at the moment?

cheers
hi there! welcome aboard!!! hope you are catching a few <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/xyxthumbs.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />
so no one has caught squid in wa recently?
do u have access to a boat???

landbased your best bet is to go to SOR spots. north mole i know its NOR but only just, the weed beds there can offer good squid. same as south mole. woodies groyn is good to but you need 2.5s as a standard as its quite shallow. they are the main one around. but if you can find weedbeds and clear water throw a jig and u'll be in with a chance.

good luck.

im going to give woodies a try on sat arvo, see how I go, never been before so if you see a big noob with a little 4 year old fishing say gday!
hope you catch heaps!
well we hit woodies, got a feed of herring, threw a lot back, was quite busy there. packed up at 7 to get the daughter home, had a good time but.
howya goin , i am new to this site . my favorite spot in the sound is over near the navy accommodation on the island .99 % of the time the naval police will come out and tell you to piss off , but if you can get two or three drifts in you will clean up .
If you don't have a boat try just out of freo fishing boat harbour off the rocks, went there a week or 2 back and did quite well.
