HI all. I was just wondering why I never see squid jigs with barbed hooks. My theory is that it would leed to more squid being landed? I would like you to share your thoughts

This also bothers me. I hope someone can enlighten us on this.

It is easier to get the squid of the hooks without barbs!



And also it makes it possible to throw the little ones back.

When i fish i lose more than 80 % of squid hooked and I believe this is because of the no barbs situation! as i need to haul them in from 40 meters plus water
