Went to Redondo for the first time this year and managed to take home about 5 lbs of the medium to large squids. This was on the in coming tide. No electric outlets for lights but someone always have lights (battery powered).

Also are you willing to teach me how to do those homemade hooks?
I like the sound of that. even a few would be quite nice.
Is it likely a guy can get squid from a boat, away from shore? Away from piers?
I know this is an oooooold post, but just wanted to chime in re Redondo - it's where I've gone the most often and enjoy. Have had great catches there in past years!
