Hi everyone,
This is the 2011 Puget Sound Squid Fishing thread. Enjoy.
Quote:North Sound: Squid fishing has been decent around Edmonds and Kingston, but fishing has been poor around Camano and Whidbey islands. Perhaps the best place to try is south of the San Juan Islands. Anglers are reporting success when the weather is decent.

I was at 86 on the second and a group next to me was pulling them in for a while- I walked away with 1. If you bring an extension cord and light you can plug in next to the benches. They don't allow generators.
Hey guys! First time trying this - I noticed that the migration heads south towards Olympia during January. Has anyone seen any down here or getting anything down towards Olympia area yet?
Awesome, thanks! ... Just emailed for info on those docks he mentioned.
86 sucked last night.... two good squidders got 15 total.... three hours.
Tried Luhr's Pier last night but the gate was closed due to rotten planks and beams. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
What did you find out? We live in Oly too.

He mentioned to go to Tacoma - he didn't know of any piers here that were good for squid. Looking at the Puget Sound map, it looks like we should have some squid off of some of our points, just based on how currents flow. I'm going to try maybe Boston Harbor or to see if I can get ahold of someone at Luhr's Landing.
Going tonight first time going with few friends any place better then others in south end we live in oly area thought about going to tacoma or stelicom what best and what time is best
What time does dash point close at night?
