The title and description speaks for itself! This is my first season trying this out ... has anyone seen or caught anything down around the OLY / South Sound area yet? Thanks!!!
I tried Luhr's pier last night but it was closed due to rotten planks and beams. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Sad' />
We've been fishing from the Clyde Davidson Peir at the Steilacoom Ferry dock. It's been pretty slow, but getting a few here and there. Almost always someone there with lights. Only 25 minutes from Olympia. Good luck!
HI, name is Alyson and I live in the Lacey/Olympia area. New to squidding. Went up to the steilicoom dock, was a couple there with 2 flood lights. Watched them for about 30 mnts, and they only caught 1. Came back down to the port of olympia, thinking we may be able to use the dock behind Anthonys rest there..but NO! I live in a port city, and there is NOWHERE to go squidding..I find this pretty ridiculous..The only public pier is shut down, and doesn't look like the state is working very hard to get it fixed. Just wondering where the money goes for the thousands of licenses that are sold every year. Very frustrating. .
I feel your pain!!! I think there is one dock we can use over in Boston Harbor at their pier, except the currents are blocked by Johnson Pt., so I have no idea how good it would be there. I'm going to get a boat for next season!

Yeah, Fiance and I are going to try Allyn pier tonight. Ill let ya know how it goes..It might be over already this year..but its worth a shot, and something to do.
The bigguns have spawned just catching little guys in Port Orchard area.
Allyn produced nothing but giant star fish that almost busted our line..Gonna go to Clyde Davidson sunday night. And if you need lights, wal mart sells spotlights that you can connect to a battery. Seems to work pretty well. We hook it up to our deep cycle battery.
