Does anyone know if the bridge is open/not restricted this year? I know last year it was under construction so everyone packed into ft wetherill. Hoping that won't be the case this year. I want another season like 2006 <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Sad' />
When do you all xpect the squid to enter the bay? Third week of April?

Prolly start out middle Appril for a go. Who knows?????<img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/fishing.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':rod:' />
hopefully the water warms up quick....
Hope everyone had a good winter & happy holidays. WIth that said. GTFO of here WINTER.

Respooled & lubed the reels, no cracks on the guides, go-to jigs have been restocked & refueled the genny & let her rip on 1000 watts yesterday. She ran just fine thankfully .

Just need a couple spare bulbs for the work lights, a couple more "special" yamashita jigs & I'll be ready to rock n roll.

On another note, anyone rigged up for squidding on a yak? Been thinking about it...

It would be nice to "make" your own spots...just you, your <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/boat.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':boat:' /> & the <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blueboxbullet.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':ink' />

CANT WAIT <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':woot:' />

Too bad they're calling for a noreaster this weekend <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Sad' /> I really hope it misses us b/c late season snow will likely push back the squid arrival as the waters will remain colder for longer.

I've serviced just about every piece of fishing gear I own...which took a looooooong time and kept me busy over the winter. I'm ready for some squiddlies but something tells me we're going to have a late start to the season this year.

The 2000 watts of halogens are painted, and affixed to the newly glassed squid outriggers.

The generator is primed, tested and ready to go.

The rods and reels are good to go.

I get the boat back tomorrow.

Now we just need those little squiddys.

I thought it depended on the water temp ..... I do not know how to access the temperature readings on the local ocean sensors.

Either some current temps or info on how to check them would be much appreciated..cheers

Click on Narragansett Bay and then pick the Newport bouy.
Thank you George..this is the perfect link.I like to keep an eye on the tides... Some diving for the elusive quahog is a summer time bonus,Cheers
