Hi everyone,

From my understanding the squid season should be starting up around now/end of this month.

Just after some help on where to go for the land based squid fishing, Heard Mornington pier is good but they are still rebuilding.

Also Brighton is good.

Are any of the pier up north any good like Lagoon or Kerford??

Thinking about going some time during this week if the weather ends up good. Also what a good time to go, from what I have read first light or at night somewhere well light.

New to the whole squid fishing.

Cheers for any help.
I would suggest St leanards and Queenscliff but make sure you fish the tides and always check the weather if it's blowing a east or north don't bother if it's sw or s or w go have a crack and also use quality jigs for better results!!!

With kerford and lagoon don't bother man you would have more luck getting bream flathead or Evan big snapper this time of year good luck mate
Thanks for the info, yer the snapper season is going off now.
i've tried kerferd, and its dead. even the pinkies aren't biting.

Looking to wet a line soon, now that the weather's warmer
