I know squid run all year long and the season is all year long, but what are the seasons to catch them in numbers?

For our area its generally halloween to presidents day for the better runs. Further north is more productive with peaks in the december january timeframe and julyish.

...thanks. I am an ardent fisherman for other species of fish and I know absolutely nothing about squid fishing. So thanks.

Here in the Monterey, Ca, area, the best time is winter season, Sometimes it start pretty early like around october, and fishing for them is good until april of the following year.
