Spring run? anybody?
Just a few things to add!

1) for anyone who sees trash on the pier(s) PLEASE, PLEASE CLEAN your stuff up. If its not your please do your part and clean some up so we have the Priviledge to fish piers like 69, or 70.

2. PLEASE Keep the Scene down at 62/63 because that pier closes at 10 PM. And Most squidders want to be there after lasts weeks limits!

to my last point:

3) When I left piers 62 & 63 I saw array of Seattle Police Department & Seattle Fire Department and aid units! PLEASE REPORT IF YOU SEE ANYTHING SUPICIOUS! Heres the article:

A transit who went to bed after getting in a knife fight under the viaduct Sunday was woken by police who were investigating why he was sleeping near a pool of blood.

According to the Seattle Police Department, the knife fight began around 9:20 p.m. in the 1400 block of Alaskan Way. When police arrived at the scene, they found a 21-year-old man with cuts on his chin, chest, arm and leg.

The man was hostile and incorrectly described the race of the man who stabbed him, but police immediately began their search for the attacker, according to police.

During the search, police say they saw a large amount of blood near a man who appeared to be sleeping. They woke the man to ask if he saw the attack, then observed blood on his face, hands, clothing and sleeping bag.

Eventually, the 48-year-old man admitted he was involved in the stabbing and he was arrested for investigation of assault, according to police.

The 21-year-old victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Police also recovered a knife and several other blood-stained them.
Sounds like they got it all figured out. I will say that there has been a growing trash problem at 69. Everytime I leave late Im always picking up a bunch of trash from others. If this keeps up, no doubt another spot to fish will be lost.
Finally got a night off, definitely going squidding tonight, just not sure where yet.
if you go to edmonds let me know maybe i will go down there for a bit
Went to Redondo for roughly 3 hours, walked home with about 40-50 squid.
where is redondo and is it a busy place
Has anyone been to seattle over the last few days? Concerned about the water clarity...
Seattle was a bit murky last night. Pulled only 5 squid in two hours at the aquarium pier. Others did a little better or much worse.

Guys were using generators on the wood deck pier. That's not allowed. You can get us all banned for doing that if it keeps up.
Redondo is pretty much between Federal Way and Des Moines, and it usually is pretty busy there.

Was it a group of guys with a blue generator & orange wallpack light, if so I've seen them there tons of times.
will be heading to seattle tonight, will let everyone know how i do.
Nice, I'm heading out again tonight as well. Either Redondo or Seattle, will report tonight's catch too.
I agree with squidman, pick up your own trash. we don't want to lose another fishing spot.

I would also like to add, pleae don't bring alcohol. you guys know its not allow otherwise you wouldn't put it in the pops bottle.

tuesday night, I went to point def and steilecoom with no luck. maybe the squid is not there yet or the tide was too low at the time.
Aside from Les Davis having one or two power outlets, do any other piers between Tacoma to Seattle have them?
pier 86 (cenntenial park) has outlets! got to get there quick! If not your late! Too many outlets will blow the fuse and it will piss everybody off! 3 lights MAX! Other than that all generators/batteries unless pier lights are low enough!
Meh well I just bought a generator and seems like Pier 69, 70, and 86 are my only options since they're not allowed on wooden piers.
you can bring a generator to Edmonds, pier 62 & 63, Shilshole North dock (boat ramp), & you CANT bring a generator to pier 86 (you could and I dont see any rule against that).....
You can't bring a generator to 62/63 or any other wooden piers, they're a fire hazard (even though I don't really agree with it).
Hello everyone. Great forum. Keep those reports coming.

I need some help with lighting for squids. Don't live fishing in the dark <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/zorro.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':zorro:' />

How powerful deep cell battery do I need?

What is the best light to use? Will 65 watt florescent light work?

How do you charge your battery?

Where is a good, cheap place to buy all of this?

How much would in cost me the whole setup?

Any other suggestions?
