Pier 69

2711 Alaskan Way, Seattle, WA 98121
Pier 70 is north of pier 69, easy to find it has an Irish pub. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />
so i usually go to edomonds just cause im from up north so i have a few questions about seattle piers do i need to bring a generator or lights and is parking free and where at on the piers do you fish and does the tide and rain matter in seattle thanks thought about going tonight but its suppose to be windy so maybe tomorrow
Thanks to all for keeping this up to date with new posts. I've enjoyed reading through the pages.

I am new to this community and squid fishing in general. I've only been a few times years ago. Can anyone share some info on the Sequim area? I am curious about a spot and tides to look for.

Thanks!

Mike
got another limit in 60 minutes!
Where? Is it a big secret? I got nothing after 3 hours on 70 and 62.
Last night was dead at Edmonds. Was there from 8:30 - 11pm. There was just one guy who seem to have the hot Jig and when I left he seemed to have half his limit. I haven't made it down to Seattle, but Squidman1's reports make me want to try.
thanks for the address. The reason I decided to go to seattle is because of squidman report, hope I get lucky.
I too would like to head over to Seattle but I really don't want to carry my gear across the ferry, walk down to 69/70, then have to carry 10lbs of squid back across the ferry.

I went to illahee last night, they seemed to come in waves. After a couple of hours I left with about 1.5lbs, that was enough for me.
Unfortuneately the word got out! from someone on this forum (NOT calling names) BUT when I see this person, in person, i wanna talk to (s)he. got 5 pounds! school is going away and a new one is on its way in the bay! 69 WAS HOTT! limits??
Some of the posts here are fishy!!! 69/70 is NOT producing that much squirters as someone have been reporting. Sorry to disappoint the readers on this blog.

Yeah. I've been to 69 and 70 about 10-12 times in the past week (morning and night) and I've only walked away with a decent amount twice. Some posts are fishy/over exaggerated.

If this is true then I don't feel so bad about not making the trek over there although it would be nice to meet some of you fine folks. Calamariman, thank you for the pm reply. It would not let me respond for some reason.

I will tell you that 69/70 has been slowing down a little bit for sure, as with the rest of Seattle. Still very good compared to past seasons.

On the other hand, Im in the process of becoming Washington State's FIRST AND ONLY Squid Jigging Guide. The company name will be... GETTIN JIGGY with IT.

I hope to have final details worked out soon. If interested in booking, please PM me for rates and dates available. ALWAYS a squid catch guarantee!
so will someone tell me about 69/70 is parking free do you needs lights or generator and which is better and where on the pier do you fish i normally go to edmonds sice im from up north just wanna try seattle a couple times

have to pay for seattle parking...squidding generally requires lights and a generator. (unless you know that there will be people there with one.) Everyone has their favorite spot on the pier, feel it out for a night or two for yourself. Im sure you will find your "honey hole." If you feel like you need a jump start, I have open nights for guided trips still available.
You gotta park in the street if you go to 69 or 70. Both requires you to bring a light and generator/battery.
i have a generator and lights i was told some places have outlets but guess not so does the tide matter for seattle and which pier do you prefer and what side of it
