Anyone know of a local (rhode island) source for yamashita lures, or how to order them from japan?

Ocean state tackle etc selling does. What do you need? I've got whole bunch of yamashita and yo-zuri. If you need something I can sale for you at my cost

I actually order directly from Japan(samurai tackle) and they are not cheap at all, I paid 10bucks for each one. PM me if you need anything.
I've got yo-zuri ori-q models, yamashita warm jacket model.

Thanks Josh! I actually signed up for the ez pass today. But I'm always looking for alternatives to The calamari causeway

There's always a price to pay. Sometimes you have to be thrifty, though. Especially when the money is tight. Luckily, it's not really tight just yet.

I guess we are on same page! XD
Wont be long and you will need an EZpass to cross the new Sakkonet bridge, or pay $5.25 per trip.

Just received a bunch of Yamashita jigs from http://www.plat.co.jp/
Shipping was a little expensive but the selection is great. Can't wait to get out there and try them. Hopefully its firing by next weekend.
Bass pro and cabelas has a nice selection $5.99
Vans in Boston is carrying the yamashitas.. not quite RI but beats waiting for shipping... price is reasonable

Thanks Bruce! I'll let you know f I need any, but it sounds like Ocean state is a good stop anyway since I probably need other stuff.
Took a trip on the Francis Fleet Saturday night. Slower thaner than slow. I got skunked for 6 hours. Some people caught 4 to 6 squid. I should of brought my trout rod. The few people that did catch squid had very light tackle and they squid were biting near the top. dropping to bottom seemed worthless.
A squall came any many people got sick. Let me tell it went from 1 foot waves to 6 footers and lasted 10 minutes. It was kind of cool.

More than welcome to ask me any time
BTW it's been really slow season, and it seems to be squids are very cautious to bite.
They rarely showing up on surfaces, most of time they cruising bottom.
I can able to score about 13of them last night and it seems to be bait fishs are showing up too.
I will try again tonight <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/images2.jpg' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='

Did Frances Fleet on Friday, between 2 of us we took 11 squid...Saturday night, hit my favorite dock in Beverly Ma.. Took 15 jumbos in 2 hours !
Good luck guys!! Being sent out to Michigan tomorrow (no ink on the Great Lakes) hopefully get out next week when I get back. Keep the reports rolling.... <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/images2.jpg' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='

Still dead at GI last night. Essentially no one was fishing. I think I'm done trying until next week. Hopefully, the moon will bring em out in force. In a week and a half, the full moon, high tide and sunset will all coincide on the weekend. I expect that will result in shoulder to shoulder fishing throughout the Bay. That or this will be a completely bust season. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='

FYI, 25 of us had scheduled a private squid fish charter on the 7 Bs (out of Pt. Judith) for this Friday night. The captain called last night and cancelled the charter because there are no squid out there. He said " I don't want to take you guys for a boat ride." We are scheduled to go next Friday if the squid show up. Otherwise the charter will be cancelled altogether.
Thanks for the heads up Snaildarter. I was just about to reserve a couple spots on the Frances Fleet for this Friday. Guess I'll save the money and the 2 hour ride down.
Been to JT last night. I was able to catch 2 dozen in 4hours.
Squids are there but they just don't want to bite.
Other guys can't catch a lot (may be 4~5).
I will keep trying for sure.
FWIW According to the Cape Cod Canal fishing report, there are squid in the Canal, never fished there so that's all I have
