Squids came into Edgartown harbor! Two nights ago full buckets and last night the harbormaster and adult kid got 145 from the docks. Mostly larger squids as is usual for the spring run.
6/2/24 was an all day blitz of squid at GI. 6/3/24 went 2-4:30 PM
and got 30 squid. 7 large, 8 medium,15 small.they say the morning was even better!

Frances Fleet just announced the end of their squid trips.  The reports have been lack luster.  I've been watching the weather, tide and moon.  Was initially thinking camping for a couple days to give me more time to fish.  Rain late Wed kind of cancelled those plans but will try Newport again Wed night.

I figure at some point I'll hit is right.  Did a boat trip off Hyannis but what is in the freezer isn't going to last all summer.

Thanks for the report.
Anyone been out lately?
Has anyone tried the fall run yet?
There was a night of the best action you could want from the docks in Edgartown about ten days ago but it has been sporadic since. Hoping they come in thick soon.
Yesterday there was great squid action in Edgartown. In the morning there was great daytime action in the channel using a one ounce sinker ahead of the jig to get it down. This was 7:30-10 AM. Then in the evening we slayed them from a different dock, a few guys got over a hundred each. Like the morning bite, many were large to jumbo squids.
Great job Gilligan! I haven’t been to get out but I always enjoy your reports.
