This Flinders board has been a little quiet recently. So I thought I better liven it up. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

Went to flinders yesterday. 4am - 10am. Fished the top of the tide and 3/4 of the run out tide. Got 4, 1 at about a kg, the other 3 smaller. Used only imitiation jigs, yamshita and shimano 2.5 and 3.0. Multi colors patterns worked best. Saw about 5 others pulled up all decent size. Plenty of people out using baited jigs but they were out fished by the imitation jig users by far. I bought one of those auto gaff 5000 squid gaffs and gave it a run. Perfect tool for the solo squidder, worked a treat much more control than a drop net to get the big ones in.

cheers,

nala
Hi all,

I tried Flinders Pier about 2 weeks ago. I lost a few squid but did not land any.

All up I saw about 7 squid caught in the evening. Biggest was about 1 kilo. Most were much smaller of course.

Cheers, Glen
