beauy isn't firing all that well at the moment, some days its good some days its terrible. Tide, weather, time of day, jig colour/size nothing works on some days.
Mordi pier in the mornings is going alright some days, same with Brighton, from the sea baths right up to half way up the breakwall.
Jigs can be hit and miss, i dont think they are all that fussy when they are actually on the chew. but sometimes they will only hit one colour.
There are some very big squid hanging around all the way from mordi to st kilda pier. Just got to be there <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='

i keep hearing "awww mate you should have been here lastnight!!"

Oh yeh forgot to ask but has anyone been using any of those japanese squid pens?
nice looking jig.....
how did you go?
Well the gancraft works
not sure how many i caught, put it that way. Maybe 14 all up, i kept one of the larger ones which was about 20cm mantle. I gave Fonzi 3.
Same deal Mase, off the bite at 5:30 at brighton... like clockwork.
I got some cool photos though, uploading them now....
Good to see, same place from the rocks or the pier?
im thinking that when light shows and they can see us alot more clearly they go to deeper water, they feed at dark because they know they have the upper hand.. very stealthy....
From the rocks.. and we went to beauy for 3 squid to max 15cm long... for about 150 casts.
Check these out, some of them make good wallpaper, they are in pretty high res.
